NIKE FLYKNIT ZOOM AGILITY: REVIEWED

NIKE FLYKNIT ZOOM AGILITY: REVIEWED

A E S T H ET H I C S   |   10/10

For me, I’m not ashamed to admit that I often pride style over substance. I am a sucker for pretty things but when it comes to Nike, I don’t often have to chose. They consistently provide both.

So I first clapped eyes on these kicks on the Nike Women Facebook page and I’ve been obsessed over since. When I received these in my swag bag from the Ellie Goulding x NTC event (link), I won’t lie - there were almost tears of joy. I also may or may not have done a ‘happy dance’.

The multi-coloured knit with accents of lime green and hot pink is just delicious. I can’t decide if they remind me more of a kaleidoscope or a Zap ice cream (90s kids - you know you remember those.). Either way, I can’t walk down the street without someone checking these bad boys out.

The beauty of this colour-way is that you can pretty much wear them with anything. Generally I like to keep my leggings and vests plain and then peacock with my sports bras and trainers BUT these trainers have me mixing prints like I’m Nicki Minaj.

The sole unit is also worthy of a mention. Using the same technology of my Nike Zoom Agilities, they have actual hexagons on the base of these. I can't really describe how awesome it feels to walk in these so you need to go and try these for yourself. And then maybe buy them.

(It’s okay. I promise you your life will have so much more meaning afterwards.)

Being my first ever pair of Flyknits, I wasn’t really sure how they’d perform in the gym. Id always seen those hard-core sock-esque Flyknits that your average runner has but nothing like these before. Because they mix that strong sole unit with the form fitting style, these really do me proud in the gym. Although I now pretty much train in my socks to avoid throwing myself off balance (which in turn strengthens my core - little tip there, you see that?), I still keep them with me whilst I train.

If you are more of a cardio girl and like your long-distance running, I would say to stick to your flyknits with a more flexible sole unit. The back of these don’t come super high at the heel so I can imagine that they wouldn't be ideal. But then again - what would I know? These chances of you catching me running on the treadmill are about as slim as a Starbucks skinny latte.
